Terms of Sale

Introduction

These Terms of Sale govern all purchases and agreements for custom window coverings and installation services provided by Window Cover Costa. By placing an order or requesting a quote, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Payment Terms

Deposit (60%)

A deposit of 60% of the total project cost is required upon order confirmation. This deposit secures your project date, reserves materials, and initiates the design and measuring process. The deposit is non-refundable once materials have been ordered or work has commenced.

Final Payment (40%)

The remaining 40% is due within 2 days after completion of installation. Final payment must be received before the project is considered fully delivered. Payment must be made via bank transfer invoice.

Payment Methods

Payment must be made via bank transfer using the invoice provided. All transactions are conducted securely, and invoices are provided for each payment.

Measuring and Design Process

Our team will schedule a consultation to measure your windows and discuss your design preferences. Accurate measurements are essential for a perfect fit. We take responsibility for professional measurements, but clients must ensure access to windows and clear any obstructions during the measuring visit.

Once measurements are confirmed, we prepare a detailed design proposal and provide a comprehensive quote. Design revisions are included during this phase. Upon order confirmation and deposit receipt, we finalize your order and begin the manufacturing process.

Manufacturing and Timeline

Standard manufacturing time for custom window coverings is 3-8 weeks, depending on the product type and complexity. We will notify you of the expected installation date upon order confirmation. Rush orders may be available upon request with additional fees.

Delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as material availability, custom orders, or logistical issues. We will keep you informed of any changes to your timeline and contact you immediately if any issues arise.

Installation and Delivery

Professional installation and delivery are included in all project costs. Our experienced team will install your window coverings with precision and care, ensuring they function perfectly and look beautiful.

Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure access to all areas requiring installation
  • Clear windows and surrounding areas of obstacles
  • Provide a suitable parking space for our installation vehicle
  • Be present during installation (or arrange authorized access)

Return and Refund Policy

Since all our products are custom-made to your specific measurements and preferences, returns are limited. However, we understand that sometimes products may need adjustment.

Before Final Payment (Within 7 Days of Installation)

If you discover that the window coverings are too long, too wide, or otherwise don't meet your expectations, you may request adjustments or a replacement before the final 40% payment is made. We will assess the issue and provide solutions, which may include minor adjustments, re-measuring, or remanufacturing with adjusted dimensions.

After Final Payment

Once the final 40% payment is received and accepted, we consider the project complete. Returns are not available except in cases of manufacturing defects or damaged products upon delivery. In such cases, we will repair or replace the product at no additional cost.

Defective Products

If a product is defective, damaged, or fails to function within 12 months of installation due to manufacturing issues, we will repair or replace it at no cost. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by the client.

Warranty

All products and installation work are backed by our 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects and workmanship issues. This warranty covers:

  • Material defects and fabric imperfections
  • Hardware malfunction due to manufacturing
  • Installation issues affecting product performance
  • Seam failures due to poor craftsmanship

This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, accidents, normal wear and tear, modifications made by the client, or environmental factors beyond our control.

Cancellation Policy

Before Manufacturing Begins

If you cancel your order before manufacturing has begun, you forfeit the 60% deposit. This covers administrative costs, design consultation, and coordination.

After Manufacturing Begins

Cancellation after manufacturing has started is not possible, as materials have been ordered and work has commenced. The full project cost remains due.

Postponement

Installation dates may be postponed by up to 30 days at no additional cost. Further delays may incur storage fees of €50 per month. After 60 days, the order may be considered cancelled, and your deposit may be forfeited.

Liability and Damage

Window Cover Costa takes full responsibility for damages caused by our installation team during the installation process. We will repair or replace any damaged window frames, walls, or furnishings caused directly by our work. However, we are not responsible for pre-existing damage, structural issues, or environmental factors.

The client is responsible for any damage to products after delivery and acceptance. We recommend proper maintenance and care of window coverings as outlined in the product care instructions.

Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and use your personal information only for the purpose of providing our services and maintaining contact. Your data is protected in accordance with GDPR and Spanish data protection laws. We do not share your information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we encourage direct communication to resolve the matter amicably. Our team will work with you to find a fair solution.

If a resolution cannot be reached through direct negotiation, disputes shall be handled through mediation or, if necessary, through the appropriate Spanish courts. These terms are governed by Spanish law.

Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically for updates.
